Schulz, Dieter

Dieter Schulz is Professor Emeritus of English at Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg.
He has taught at the universities of Stuttgart and Wuppertal, and has held visiting professor-
ships at Oregon State University and the University of New Mexico. His publications include
Suche und Abenteuer (1981), a study of quest patterns in English and American Romantic
fiction, and Amerikanischer Transzendentalismus: Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau,
Margaret Fuller
(1997).
Dieter Schulz has been honoured by the "Distinguished Achievement Award for 2013" by the Ralph Waldo Emerson Society.
